Still Strong Despite Europe’s Debt Crisis

Despite the debt crisis in Europe, CEOs in Indonesia are increasingly upbeat on Indonesia’s economic prospects. In the latest survey which covers the months of April and May, the Business Sentiment Index (BSI), added 3.2 percent to 137.1.

Indonesian business sentiment remained firm in the latest reporting period as CEOs reported stronger sales growth and higher profitability on the back of a better performing economy, lifted by both record-low interest rates and benign inflation.

CEOs remain upbeat despite Bank Century case

CCThe overall measure of business sentiment, the Business Sentiment Index (BSI), dipped 0.5 percent to 132.5 in December 2009-January 2010, as political wrangling over the Bank Century case dragged on.
